The Human Race

A crisis is defined as “a time of intense difficulty or danger.”  When looking at the Syrian Refugee ‘Crisis’, the notion that we are all one race, the human race, seems to have been suppressed.  We are situated in a hyper-documented visual landscape watching the crisis unfold; yet the international humanitarian response has been inadequate.  This exhibition is a response to these current events, confronting the vast visual record of the crisis.  Through curation of existing news and documentary imagery placed in an immersive environment, the audience is asked to reignite their compassion and campaign for a united humanity.
